Privacy policy
What is collected, what is not, and who else is involved. Written to be read rather than to be survived.
The short version
We collect nothing about you ourselves. There is no account, no sign-up, no contact form and no newsletter. Every calculation on this site runs inside your own browser — the figures you type into a calculator are never transmitted to us, never stored, and never seen by anyone.
Third parties on this site do collect data. Advertising and analytics providers set cookies and receive standard technical information. That is unavoidable on an ad-supported site, and the detail is below.
What we collect directly
Nothing that identifies you. We do not operate a database of users, we do not run a mailing list, and we have no login system. If you email us, we hold that email in order to reply to it, and for no other purpose.
Your calculator inputs
Loan amounts, rates and terms are processed entirely by JavaScript in your browser. They never leave your device. When you use the "Copy link" button, your figures are placed in the page address so the result can be bookmarked or shared — that link is created locally and is only seen by whoever you choose to send it to.
Third parties
Google AdSense
We display advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our sites and/or other sites on the internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. Google's own practices are described in the Google Privacy & Terms pages.
Amazon Associates
Some links on this site are Amazon affiliate links. Clicking one takes you to Amazon, which sets its own cookies to attribute any resulting purchase. We receive a commission; you pay nothing extra. We do not receive your name, address, payment details or the contents of your basket — only aggregate reporting on how many items were ordered.
Hosting
This site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like every web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data — IP address, user agent, requested page — to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for detail.
Fonts
Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the request in order to serve the font file.
Cookies
We set no cookies of our own. Cookies present on this site come from the advertising and hosting providers named above. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the calculators will continue to work normally, because they do not use cookies at all.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA or UK, the GDPR gives you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA give you rights to know, delete, correct and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
Because we hold no personal data about you, most of these requests must be directed to the third parties above, who are the ones actually processing it. We will help you identify the right controller if you ask. We do not sell or share personal information for money.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided information, email us and it will be deleted.
